Model's photo shoot is not what she thinks

Filmmaker Alexander Craig pulled off an elaborate marriage proposal: He tricked his girlfriend, model Jennifer Glasgow, into thinking she was doing a professional photo shoot. Instead, it was all a setup to ask for her hand in marriage. The Brooklyn-based couple have been dating since last fall. The two had discussed tying the knot, and the besotted boyfriend remembered that his mate had one request: "Jennifer always told me that if I ask her to marry me, that I make sure that she is dressed nicely, with her hair and nails done," he told Yahoo. Let's just say, Craig made it happen —and then some. The filmmaker dreamed up a fairy-tale setting — the Highline Hotel and Ballroom in New York's Chelsea neighborhood — and recruited hair and makeup artists who were in on Operation Engagement. Craig was also there, setting up the shoot and filming it, too. "Getting engaged is one of the biggest highlights of your lifetime," Craig told Yahoo. "So I simply wanted to capture it as best as possible. Then I remembered that I'm a filmmaker and she's a model, so it only makes sense to fake a shoot to make it happen." "It was totally believable," Glasgow admitted to Yahoo. "It just seemed like a normal job." The video captures Glasgow as she readies herself for the shoot, radiant in a long dress and, yes, with makeup, hair, and even nails looking perfect. "It just felt like I was a princess," she said. Craig tells her to move her left hand up, then comes out from behind the camera, and gets down on one knee. "I couldn't even move because I was in shock," Glasgow said. She did manage to tell him, "Yes." "Everything went according to plan," Craig told Yahoo. "I'm really excited to spend my life with her now." The happy couple has set a date — June 7. But Craig better be on his toes: Glasgow might have something up the sleeve of her wedding dress: She says she would "definitely like to surprise him." — Claudine Zap (@zapkidd) (Model: Jennifer Glasgow, photographer/ filmmaker: Alex Craig - wearefilmsny.com, stylist: Christine Talevski, hair: Martha Ellen Gemert, 1st AC: Scott Surman, song: 'Guilty' by George Shearing, location: The Highline Hotel and Ballroom in NYC, camera: Blackmagic Production Camera 4k) Find more Screen Videos videos on Yahoo Screen.
